Henrock — a seasonally-minded restaurant by Simon Rogan.
True to Simon's ethos, the focus lies on beautiful local ingredients including produce from Our Farm located just a few miles away in the Cartmel Valley.
The dishes takes inspiration from The Lake District landscape, as well as Simon’s travels worldwide, particularly to his restaurants in Hong Kong, Malta and Thailand. Each dish embodies these exotic flavours but uses locally sourced ingredients grown by hand at Our Farm or from a small selection of local producers, suppliers and artisans.
At dinner, we offer both an eight-course tasting menu (£95) and a set menu (£75). Our tasting menu offers our guests the chance to experience our chef’s highlights in one menu, whilst our set menu allows our guests to choose three courses from a seasonal selection of dishes.
On Sunday lunchtimes, the team at Henrock serve a two-course set menu, which includes snacks, a main course and dessert for £42. Starters are available at a supplementary price.
Henrock is open from Wednesday to Sunday for dinner and lunch on Sundays. Any dietary requirements must be notified 48 hours in advance and seven days in advance for tables of seven and eight. Please note that last orders for our tasting menu are at 8:30pm and that each table must choose either our set menu or tasting menu for the entire table.

Over the past 25 years, Simon has developed his distinctive and inventive cooking style that has led to awards, Michelin stars and worldwide acclaim.
Building a culinary destination in Cartmel, in the southern Lake District, Simon opened L'Enclume, a restaurant with rooms in 2002, followed by Rogan & Co in 2008. Our Farm in the Cartmel Valley is the nucleus of all of his restaurants. Across all areas of the business, Simon and his team are committed to sustainability and moving towards producing zero waste.
In 2016, Simon launched Aulis Cartmel, his first chef’s table and development kitchen. Aulis London also arrived in the heart of Soho in October 2017 as a stand-alone dining destination, acting as the creative hub for Simon and his London team of chefs. In 2024, Aulis London received its first Michelin star.
Following this, Simon created Roganic, originally a pop-up but now a permanent restaurant in Marylebone’s Blandford Street. In early 2019 Simon has expanded to Hong Kong, opening Aulis and Roganic in Causeway Bay.
In October 2019, Simon launched Henrock, an informally elegant restaurant set within Linthwaite House, a contemporary country house hotel in the heart of the Lake District.
In 2020, in response to the global pandemic, the group launched Home by Simon Rogan, Simon's delivery offering, providing regularly changing three-course 'at home' dining experiences created in The Lakes, as well as a selection of pantry staples made using produce from Our Farm.
In 2021, Simon's efforts towards sustainability were recognised with the newly introduced Michelin green star, awarded to both L'Enclume and Roganic Hong Kong.
In 2022, he opened a Hong Kong-based bakery and natural wine bar The Baker & The Bottleman and in the same year L'Enclume was awarded its third Michelin star, the first restaurant in the north of England to do so. This coincided with the group celebrating 20 years since Simon opened L'Enclume.
In early 2023, he expanded his portfolio to Valletta, Malta with the opening of ION Harbour by Simon Rogan and in 2024, it became the first restaurant to be awarded two Michelin stars on the island. In December 2023, the group expanded into Thailand with the opening of Aulis Phuket at Iniala Beach House.
Simon was recognised with an MBE in the 2024 New Year's Honours List for his commitment to the restaurant industry and his sustainability efforts.
